Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Moon Dust

K:

Broken in half to separate parts, I can see way past all the stars. So far past I sometimes get lost and somehow end up on Mars, completely engulfed by dust. It used to be the two of us, complete thoughts in isolation and I think I’ve had enough. To leave, it’s way to soon, silence becomes by tune, I wanted to be your sun ’cause you were always my moon.

S:

Up there on Mars, time reversed to when we were young. I was the moon dust that engulfed you, sun. From darkness to light you sprung, from fellow stars undone. To the moon your perpetual song sung, beckoning from start dust to moon dust to moon, come.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Surgical Exorcisms

K:

As I watch the same train that we missed, is it insane it’s exactly for what I wished? The earth undergoes a purge, a surgical exorcist, the planets merge, an angel asks if we received all seven messages, afterall, heaven knows we’re the only two that exist.

S:

As I cut the last slice, skin, surgical exorcise, I pondered you and I, our existence, but this time it was different, I questioned leaving all behind: plunge with you into infinite distance? On the delicate strip between flesh and skin our fairytale should have spanned, but the stars my fates damned.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Taming Hades and Disgust (the anti Love)

K:

The sky’s anger, cries of a village before the storm, lightening strikes, and it’s frightening, the wrath of heaven’s thorn, pure white, anger and love in its purest form.
S:

Anger and love were always one in the same, it’s disgust that you gotta tame. Bleached blues into private rooms rained, breaking the dream into nauseating strains.

K:

Can you tame disgust? Erase hate and cure mistrust? I don’t think you can unless it’s strictly the two of us. The world is too big to fix, I’ve come to realize this, idealized dreams are are our ignorant bliss.

S:

Even if it’s just the two of us, how can you tame disgust, when a voice starts grating senses, how long will you put up pretenses? Idealized dreams, sins turned to dust, who will you trust? An I, God, you, we, a blunt? To hell and back all will be shunned, with the broken belief you’ve made your beloved.

K:

That broken belief you speak of refuses to ever leave, it’s plague that I hate, disgraced, a slowly aging disease. Hell is like earth, except Hell is a 180 degrees, where Hades resides and decides the scorching fire they breathe, so leave it to me, to find an escape back to the heavenly gate, douse the flame, tame the disgust and I trust you to restore my faith.

S:

Earth is hell when your head makes it, a heaven when on blissful dreams you sit, the train to bliss missed, trees burst into flaming fists. How to douse the flame, when I stood with you as we missed the train in human hellish bliss.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Astral Minds and Hopeful Chimes

K:

His mind’s a puzzle,
Kept to himself,
Boy in a bubble,
They say we all find someone,
Who’s just half of a double,
That it takes two to form,
Like thunder brewed in a storm,
Like love before you were born,
A heart before it was torn.

S:

Puzzles and bubbles,
One half of a double,
Is one full trouble,
To make it through the rubble,
You gotta be dissolvable.
You speak it doubles,
Speak about uncouples,
Find yourself, lose yourself,
End the struggle.

K:

Well that’s literally true,
You can actually split me in two,
One half of me is me
Whereas the other is literally you,
A little subdued,
A shade darker of an
Indigo blue,
Look at what it’s come to.

S:

I’ll do you the favor,
Split you in two,
Break your heart,
Set you to the start,
Show that it was never me,
But always you.
Love is to heartbreak,
As a self is to a double,
I’ll break your heart,
To show you your doubles,
No love no selves,
It was always about your bubble.

K:

Well I’m too afraid to mention,
I was scared of love and affection,
The moment it was in reach,
My bubble served as protection,
You popped it a now I’m free,
But exposed successfully,
The world can reject as they may,
But you accept unselfishly.

S:

Scared of love and affection?
Or scared of something else,
Of a self that swells.
Imaginary bubbles popping,
If I reject you you’ll be left sobbing,
Bubble back in place,
Its walls doubled,
Doubled again, and again,
Bubble ending in solid rubble.
Who said I’d break you to accept you?
I’m just as selfish as the others,
Talk of practicality versus love,
It was always about one, not the other.

K:

So tell me,
Does love actually prevail
Over practicality,
Emotions rougher than the oceans manifest
In astral reality.
So whatever’s practical is actually
What truly staggers me.
But what happened,
Happened,
Because it has to be.

S:

Dichotomies to create
Staggering drunken strides,
Practicality and love,
On horses of imagination ride astride,
In the recesses of your astral mind,
Practicality charged and
Love died.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Breaking the Addiction

K:

As into the wall he slammed his fist, vibrational aftermath, it’s a fact they’re polar opposites, opposites that attract, disorder apocalypse, she thinks ignorance is bliss, ignorant awkwardness.

S:

Vibrational aftermath translating into waves in the Rhine, as over the waters they dined, plunged from practicality into wordless lines, opposites attract as long as they don’t become choking vines.

K:

Those choking vines eventually become broken over time, the sober mind of a drunk brings him back to an older time, drinking wine with the woman he adored, on the shore of the River Rhine.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Addiction

S:

Addicted to drugs, or addicted to his face, dopamine in my brain, fast beating incoherent drums, to this it all comes, these pseudo scientific floods.

K:

Dopamine overload, a super stimulus hits you. It feels limitless, the images reveal every face of the issue, but every face was his, drugged from the first moment he kissed you.

S:

She tried to make it exist, every face should have been his, but which his would lift the mist, the one in front tryin’ to insist, as into the wall he slammed his fist.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Chronicles of the Airbenders

S:

We try to bend light, we try to bend air, trying to fight the night, fighting against fate, meaning in a mate, against this meaningless existence liberate.

K:

Well since we’re trying to bend light, might as well bend space, spin back time to the moment existence originates.

S:

Spinning back pasts and not futures, cell or spirit, clots and sutures, it was always about going forwards into future.

K:

Looking to the future means nothing without the past, history repeats itself, a cycle never surpassed. Existence has its meaning, its up to you to find it, the last moment  on earth, you’re last to define it.

S:

Keep searching for lost twigs at sea, the lost birch is as lost as a useless flea. No future forms from pasts, of tormented desires cast. Speak of creation, i seek for discovery. Who am I to create a meaning, a truthless dreaming?

K:

Lost twigs at Sea once indeed has its purpose, held a nest for a bird, therefore its done its service

S:

A service in the past is just that, tell me what those two twigs, did at the last.

K:

Without meaning, humanity may have lost it, we search for any clue, convinced we found it through a prophet. Creation and destruction, reality through the time, a twig fallen from the branch of eden, inherently divine.

S:

Better through a prophet than through these human senses about the cosmos gossip. Better to have lost it than make up stories for wasting time. Going back to divinity, tell me what is divine, in a love that could have been mine, searching for clues in rhymes, what is divine.

K:

Divinity? The questions been killin me, I’m better off counting infinity. But I can try so lets put it simply, it’s separation of body and soul, raining into me.

S:

Infinity, Canton got sets of them, I’d say better of with divinity, found in thoughts of insanity. Body and soul–a two year old girl raped, on the table, spoke of no soul.

K:

To the two year old, take a moment, god bless her soul, for everything she’s missed, her soul continues to exist. Personify evil and good as two brothers, cant coexist without one another, the smiles and those who suffer, heartbroken hopeless lover.

S:

Soul and body, body and mind, tell me where it exists, when this mind riddles shits. I looked in her eyes, and around her neck the noose ties, my mind spitting, nothing there, keep up your cries. Personified into brothers, Cain and Abel, slitting at throats, going back to prophets? Heartbroken lovers confirm all with a hopeless kiss.

K:

The noose eventually comes loose, a symbol of rape & ruthless abuse, the racial symbolism itself, is enough to pierce the core of the news, sparks for rage and violence, inexplicable silence, we fight for whats right, nothing happens, so whats the point in even tryin,

S:

From the hopeful to the damned, I reversed your sands, rape and abuse, violence and silence. Personified brothers then they must be, searching for love in the silence, caterers of gold to shrines, for our mind’s riddles we keep trying.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Present Moons

K:

Selina, the moon above shines
Too bright, a light
Where beauty is amplified by the night,
Out of sight,
Becomes the ocean,
Planets align,
Revealing the past
Behind,
Behold the divine.
You’re a doctor at heart,
A poet by choice,
Let’s rejoice that your voice
Gets filtered through noise,
Into the ears of those willing to listen,
An invisible prison,
Break it and shines a comets emission.
Let’s keep the light and contain it
To our last breath,
I never sleep,
‘cause sleep is the cousin of death. (NAS)

S:

The moon shining above,
Dulled out my shine,
Made a ghost of someone,
I could have been
Faster, quicker, sooner,
Leaving before beginning,
Spinning
Spinning
Spinning,
At the speed of light we tumble,
1, 2, a million,
Until it’s finally over.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Past Moons

S:

When all is said and done,
Nothing enough is ever said and done.
When all is said and done,
Your past and words,
Changed everything
We could have become.

K:

We could’ve become
anything you wanted to,
The fact that we didn’t is why
our memories haunted you.
Everything you seen and done,
Was a product of us,
The moon can’t shine without the sun
So I guess theres a couplet to every situation,
Take it how you wanted,
We cant handle separation
Strong as you may be ,
Maybe theres a weakness exploited,
Doesn’t this sound crazy.

S:

Crazy is what crazy does,
Sincere is what sincere does,
Memories mean nothing to you,
When to your past you flew,
The moment the curtains to our ending drew.
Tumbling through moonlight?
Baby I am the moon,
I’ll shine without your light,
Years from now, later or soon.

Rhyme Battles with Kevin: Doctors and Psychologists

S:

A doctor who never made it?
Your words are healers,
Heal epileptic fits,
Like anti epileptic never could.

K:

I understand you’re a doctor, psychology,
But something missin,
I heard you weren’t authorized
To fill out my prescription,
They handed out the scalpel,
Glasses and the knife,
In the ER, I heard you couldn’t save a life.
I’m a fire that burns, never to be doused,
They call you Selina?
I woulda thought they calked you
The fake House.

S:

I could never save lives,
No burning houses,
But boy with all your lies,
All the oceans and seas,
Couldn’t put out your fire,
Bring you to your knees.

K:

Through several oceans and seas
Please perform some surgery
Before I fall a victim
IV and penicillin.
